American Muslim Institution (AMI) strongly condemns the attack on three Good Samaritans, two of whom died when they tried to stop anti-Muslim slurs against two teenage girls by a 35-year known supremacist in Portland, Oregon.
We pay tribute to the bravery and courage shown by the two slain men, 53-year-old Ricky John Best and 23-year-old Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche, as well as seriously injured 21-year-old David-Cole Fletcher, who stood up to hateful slurs hurled by 35-year-old Jeremy Joseph Christian.
We also strongly urge you to donate through American Muslim Institution to support families of the victims. Your donations will be pooled and sent to www.LaunchGood.com/ Portland donation campaign, which is affiliated with CelebrateMercy, a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization. They have already raised $435,000 and th goal is to raise $500,000 by June 1, 2017
